Westin Singapore Family Staycation – A Chance to Tour Singapore

This is getting increasingly common especially when we just want to get away for the weekend. With our busy lifestyles, going away from home, pampering yourself with nice bed and linen (and fluffy pillows), plus having long bath and simply getting away for a weekend is getting more attractive to many families.

We had a weekend away from home recently. And it’s not just that lush setting to relax, there was something for the entire family to enjoy! One note as a mummy who has seen many of such Kid Friendly activity guides: Usually these guides have stuff like join the dots, color this or color that, and maybe a word puzzle with some Fun Facts. The Westin Family guide book is most meaty in terms of content and activities. It is well thought out and there are very good lessons that the child can learn. Most importantly, it is not age specific. Your child will definitely leave Westin more inquisitive, more culturally aware, more ‘experienced’. I love this guidebook!

When we stayed there, we decided to go Universal Studios–the all time favourite theme park! Check it out! I must say the kids had a most amazing time checking out all the rides!

I had a few reluctant models as they wanted to go for the rides and cut down on phototaking!

But the one thing that we all really really enjoyed was the HUGE pizzas at Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor! It was huge, very cheesy and super super yummy!

Imagine, this was really like a holiday away from home. The location of the hotel was so central, we can visit attractions like a regular tourist! Back in the hotel, we got to try the Westin’s signature dining venue, Seasonal Tastes. There was so much to WOW about when we entered the restaurant. Imagine-Floor to ceiling windows all round to see the breathtaking views of Singapore’s skyline. In the evening, we could see the dazzling lights from the city, and in the day, the busy containers and beautiful sea view beholds.

What I really like about Seasonal Tastes is the very varied healthy options they serve. Look at their breakfast!
