Images of Singapore #giveaway
History is best learnt when you experience it first-hand. But it’s really not possible to travel back in time and re-live history. The next best way to learn history is to be part of the re-enactment of history! This is why museums around the world take great effort to build and create exhibition spaces that closely parallels what is being displayed.
In Singapore, we have something similar and a bit more! Presenting Images of Singapore—a live exhibition that brings you back to Singapore’s past from the days of Sir Stamford Raffles to our modern 21st century city state.
We visited Images of Singapore recently with Gong Gong and Po Po. You can imagine how thrilled they were when they saw familiar artefacts and scenes. Immediately, they wanted to share their stories with the grandkids.
Besides amazing set-ups showing how the people lived, worked and played, Images of Singapore has a mix of live actors and special effects to interact us. Imagine a Samsui woman narrating her story live while pointing out the hard labour she went through, and getting a chance to see William Farquhar, and hear his views when he was in Singapore. It was all very exciting and the actors played a vital role to help us better understand what life was like in old Singapore.
Here’s what you can expect in Images of Singapore:
Do take note that Images of Singapore and Madame Tussauds are 2 separate attractions and they are priced differently. For bargain hunters, please buy your tickets online, and you get to enjoy bigger discounts, when you purchase tickets for both attractions. To find out more, visit Images of Singapore Live.
