Upon receiving the Festive Family Tea Invite, we knew that we were going to have a relaxing weekend. Capella Singapore did not disappoint, as this high tea experience was so different..
At most high teas, one will expect a buffet line, while patrons will expect to queue up for their favourite dishes with the rest of the hungry guests. However, the Capella Singapore promises an intimate setting, as together with limited tables, one is served throughout the meal.
Yes! Just sit back and relax and the attentive service staff at Capella will serve you the 5 course Festive Family Tea while you sip your Ronnefeldt tea. And imagine all of this while you get to watch Executive Pastry Chef, Bastien Jarry preparing the meal in front of you.
If you are worried about the kids being bored, the kids were entertained at the Gingerbread and Cupcakes decoration corner. Under the supervision of Santa, the kids got to make their own creations with flavoured icings liberally pour over their own cupcakes. If you are looking for some couple time with your partner, the Festive Tea Experience at the Chef’s table scores highly in this area.
And here is what we had for tea … Christmas Feuilleté with Parmesan, Apricot Cardamom Chocolate “Sacher” and Almond Marzipan Stollen and much more. Our favourite was the home curved graviax salmon with watercress puree and picked shallots. Ya…quite a mouthful but it is simply that great salmon that had us hungry for more!
Capella Singapore has other Festive offerings over the holiday season as well. We have not savoured them but they definitely sound good. The Christmas Brunch at the grand ballroom is an all-time favourite where one gets treated to great food, live stations and a roving band. And there will be over 40 palatable dessert choices for this brunch! A definite Christmas Haven.
